CARBOTUNE CONSTRUCTION – A Chat Between JS and the World Junior Champ
Earlier this year, JS & Bronson Meidi caught up in Bali to debrief on the boards in CarboTune construction that Bron rode on his way to winning the WSL World Junior Title, that have also featured heavily in his quiver for the rest of the year from free surfs to the Challenger Series as well as the Qualifying Series.
One of many benefits of this tech, as JS points out, is that Bronson was riding a stock CarboTune straight off the rack. All CarboTune boards that hit the rack feature the exact same construction and weight as our team or custom CarboTune boards.
Both EPS boards and carbon-fibre constructions often carry a reputation for struggling in messy, windy conditions. But Bronson and our other team riders have put these boards through the wringer in all kinds of surf, competition and free-surf alike. From small to heavy, clean to blown-out, weak to powerful, they’ve proven themselves as true all-round performer.
