RYAN CALLINAN
Hailing from Merewether, Newcastle, Ryan Callinan is one of the most captivating surfers of his generation. Growing up inspired by local legends like Mark Richards (four-time World Champion), Luke Egan, and Matt Hoy, he developed a unique style that blends speed and power.
Known for excelling both in competition and free surfing, Ryan entered the World Qualifying Series in 2016 and joined the World Tour the following year. After a challenging start, he adapted his creative approach to the demands of competitive surfing, finishing 14th in the world in 2019.

Consistently ranked among the top 15 surfers in recent years, Ryan continues to push the boundaries of his free surfing. His runner-up finish at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach in 2023 reflects his steady progress and competitive edge.
